LIVING IN DES PERES, MISSOURI

Des Peres is a centrally located West St. Louis County community that combines established residential neighborhoods with convenient access to shopping, restaurants, recreation and major highways.

It's a relatively compact community, but its location puts residents close to many of the places they may already work, shop and spend time throughout West County.

HOMES IN DES PERES

Des Peres offers a mix of established single-family homes, ranch-style properties, traditional two-story homes, renovated residences and newer construction.

One thing buyers may notice is that homes can vary quite a bit in age, size, lot size and level of renovation. Some properties maintain their original character, while others have undergone significant updates or redevelopment.

That makes it important to compare more than just square footage and asking price when evaluating a home.

SHOPPING, DINING & EVERYDAY CONVENIENCE

Shopping is one of the area's most recognizable features. **West County Center** is located in Des Peres and provides access to a large selection of stores, restaurants and services.

Manchester Road also runs through the area and offers additional restaurants, grocery stores, retail and everyday conveniences.

For even more options, Des Peres sits near communities such as Kirkwood, Town and Country, Frontenac and Manchester, putting a large portion of West County within a relatively short drive.

PARKS & RECREATION

Des Peres also offers several options for recreation.

Des Peres Park provides green space, trails, athletic fields, playground areas and other outdoor amenities.

The city is also home to The Lodge Des Peres, a community recreation facility offering fitness and aquatic amenities along with recreational programming.

These local amenities give residents options for staying active without necessarily having to leave the community.

LOCATION & GETTING AROUND

Location is one of Des Peres' biggest advantages.

With convenient access to I-270, I-64/Highway 40 and Manchester Road, residents can reach many parts of the St. Louis metropolitan area relatively easily.

That can make Des Peres worth considering for buyers who work in different parts of the region or simply want convenient access to West County and the City of St. Louis.

THINKING ABOUT BUYING IN DES PERES?

When you're comparing homes in Des Peres, we'll look at more than bedrooms and bathrooms. Property condition, updates, lot size, location, taxes, nearby amenities and current market activity can all affect whether a particular home makes sense for you.

And if you're deciding between Des Peres and nearby communities like Kirkwood, Ballwin, Manchester or other parts of West County, I can help you compare your options before narrowing down the search.
